CES 2025 in Pajamas, over Coffee
The annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is one of the largest trade shows and conferences in the world, with nearly 140,000 attendees, with 40% from 160 other countries. It’s where brands come to get noticed and get business done.
Each January they come to Las Vegas, NV to see the latest tech products from over 4,500 exhibitors or showcase their own. The event is massive, spanning 2.5 million square feet of floor space, the equivalent of 43 football fields.
Nowhere else on earth can you see and experience so much in such a short space of time. That’s why I loved attending each year. But now I follow CES without the expense and hassle of traveling there and fighting the crowds, and in this article I share what I found most interesting.
For background, I’ve attended big tech shows like COMDEX & CES as an exhibitor, speaker or attendee for some 30 years,. While still at IBM I organized one of the first industry Hot Spots (now TechZones), featuring Home Networking. That was just after introducing IBM to the Connected Home concept (in 1994), and while holding leadership positions in some industry standards groups. Since then my interest has expanded to Digital Health technologies.
CES 2025 VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS
I start this virtual trip report with a 43-minute walkthrough that gives you a sense of crowd size and the sort of products shown. Afterwards is a collection of shorter videos selected from the dozens I watched. Many of them feature many individual products, and some are specific to Digital Health & Accessibility.
Toward the end is a collection of keynote presentation videos. You could spend all day watching all these, but that would be a lot less painful than attending in person. Take your time, and come back later for more.
